Step Beyond Borders
SBB is focused to provide an experiential and study travel programs abroad. We work internationally with various individuals and groups to organise a safe travel and cultural immersive experience – to volunteer abroad , to intern abroad and to learn a language abroad. We run project-based cultural immersion programs abroad to enable international humanitarian volunteering more accessible and meaningful. We host innumerable projects and tailored variations to suit anybody and everybody – from amateurs to professionals!

- 2018 - The Beginning
Started with a vision to create meaningful international experiences that connect people, cultures, and communities through purpose-driven travel.
- 2020 - Adapting Beyond Borders
Introduced virtual internship opportunities, enabling global learning, cultural exchange, and professional development despite worldwide travel restrictions.
- 2009 - A New Chapter
Resumed on-ground programs and strengthened our commitment to community impact through dedicated initiatives focused on sustainable and responsible engagement.
- 2013 - Expanding to Nepal
Extended our footprint to Nepal, opening new opportunities for volunteering, internships, and cultural immersion in diverse local communities.
- 2024 — Growing into Armenia
Launched programs in Armenia, bringing participants closer to unique cultural experiences and meaningful community-driven projects.

Why do I need to pay to volunteer abroad?
Program fees help cover:

Can I receive academic credit for my internship or volunteer program?
Yes. Many universities accept our programs for:

We can provide documentation, supervision support, evaluations, and learning objectives when required by your institution.
What support do participants receive, what are package inclusions?
Participants receive support before, during, and after their program, including:

What is the minimum or maximum age to participate?
Most programs are open to participants aged 18 and above. Selected opportunities are available for participants under 18 with parental consent and additional safeguarding measures. We had dedicated volunteers up to 83 years old but there is no age limitation as long as your wellbeing permits.
Can I join with a friend, sibling, partner, or family member?
Absolutely. Many participants join with friends, classmates, partners, parents, or other family members. We can often arrange:

- Group volunteering opportunities
- Family-friendly programs
- Customized itineraries for small groups
Traveling together can make your experience even more rewarding while allowing you to share meaningful memories.
Do I need previous experience to volunteer or intern abroad?
A detailed answer to provide information about your business, build trust with potential clients, and help convince the visitor that you are a good fit for them.
Can I volunteer and travel at the same time?
Yes. Many participants combine volunteering or internships with cultural activities, weekend excursions, and independent travel. This allows you to make a meaningful contribution while exploring India, Nepal, or Armenia.
